COMMUNITY PICNIC SATURDAY JULY 24TH


July 22nd, 2021

When & Where: 
Saturday, July 24th, 12pm–6pm
Parc Lucia Kowaluk (corner of Pine / Parc)
 Come join us for a community picnic!

Please bring your own plate, cutlery and cup.

-Enjoy a delicious BBQ and potluck meal cooked by your neighbours (welcome to bring something to share, but no pressure).

-Discuss citizen projects to improve the neighbourhood, like for the hospitals, housing justice, ecology, food autonomy, and more.

-Learn how to do soapstone carving with Inuit artist Saila Kelly Bear.

-Buy organic hot pepper plants for your garden!

-Garage Sale/Free Store. Bring things to sell or giveaway to your neighbours!

 We will be fundraising for our community projects so welcome to make a donation to the CCMP in person or through our website. 

Schedule: 
12:00-6:00pm
: Garage Sale/Free Store
12:00pm: Potluck lunch (Bring food to share if you can.)
1:00-2:30pm: Citizen discussion and presentations of community projects 
3:00-4:30pm: Inuit soapstone carving workshop with Saila Kelly Bear.
Participate to receive stone and filing tools. Sliding scale: $10-$20 (Max 6 places) Please register: foxc@live.ca

6:00pm: End of picnic
