The CCMP is run by a board comprised of dedicated Milton Parc residents who are passionate about giving back to the neighborhood.
Garrfield Du Couturier Nichol (P.E.)
President, Co-Chair and HR Committee
A resident of the Milton Parc community for over 40 years, Garrfield has been deeply involved in community life. In 2014, he received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for his work with seniors. He holds degrees in Psychology and Human Relations from the University of Ottawa and McGill, where he continues to teach part-time in the School of Continuing Studies.
Garrfield has participated in international election observation missions with Emcan and is an active member of the McGill Course Lecturers and Instructors Union (MCLIU), serving on its Delegates Council and twice on the Bargaining Committee.
Elected to the Boards of BMP and CCMP in 2024, Garrfield was also named President of the CCMP in September. He is committed to enhancing the Milton Parc community by advocating for housing, well-being, and government support through collaboration with local organizations.
Cindy Cook B.Ed. (P.E.)
Co-chair and HR Committee
Cindy has lived in the neighborhood for 45 years and is a founding member of Coop Rue des artistes and the Milton Park Recreation Association. She has served as a volunteer director for CCMP and was previously President and VP of SDC in 2020-2021. A physical educator with extensive experience in fitness centers, administration, and teaching at Cegeps College LaSalle and O’Sullivan, she also ran her own business, Physi-Conseil, offering First Aid and CPR training. Cindy co-authored the textbook “Fitness Now” (2006-2014) and the open-resource eBook used at College LaSalle (2017). Now mostly retired, she teaches a few classes each week and is a Field Supervisor for McGill University’s Education Department.
Kieran Malone
HR Committee
Kieran Malone has been living in Montréal since 2017 after having spent the better part of the previous 10 years running his live entertainment production company, Oma Entertainment in Virginia and Texas. There he co-created and produced large scale acrobatic shows. Since 2017 he has scaled back his professional life and would like to contribute to the quality of life within our community.
Nathan McDonnell
Co-Chair and HR Committee
Since 2015, Nathan has been an active community organizer with the Milton Parc Citizens’ Committee, serving in various staff and board roles. He has cofounded numerous initiatives, including the community coworking space 3516 Parc, cooperative bar-restaurant BMP, collective gardens, a food bank, Indigenous homelessness organization Comm-Un, the coalition Royal Vic for the Public, the citizens’ assembly À nous le Plateau, and the radical municipalist movement Prenons la Ville.
At the CCMP, Nathan focuses on coordination, mobilization, education, event planning, fundraising, communications, finances, and building management. He has also worked as a community intervention worker with the Indigenous (predominantly Inuit) homeless community and people living with HIV at Maison d’Hérelle.
Through Black Rose Books, Nathan contributes to publishing socially engaged non-fiction. In his spare time, he enjoys clowning, whitewater kayaking, Latin dancing, farming, and meditation.
